I cannot offer good price options but I would like to warn you about the use of front masks in general. Leaving a front end mask on for long periods of time that involve rains or washes can be harmful to your paint finish. Dust and dirt that accumulate in the dry get washed underneath the mask and become trapped. This dirt eventually begins to behave like sandpaper in dry conditions with wind and normal vibrations while driving. You could be in for an unpleasant surprise when the mask is eventually removed as severe abrasions usually occur especially near sharply rounded edges in the body.

Hi Bill,
Thanks a lot for your advice! Yeah, I really need to watch out for those. But I am just getting to many rock chips from the freeway. I guess I just need to make sure take out the bra from the car once a while.

Instead of the typical black vinyl bra, why not consider a clear paint protector like "invicta -shield" or Armorfend. I am in the process of purchasing a 1997 993 c4s and that is one of the first things I will purchase. good luck.

IF you are brave and good with your hands you COULD consider buying a kit and applying it yourself (save $$$), otherwise I would try to have a professional apply it. Depending on where you live, you might be able to find a professinal nearby. They will usually offer a lifetime warranty. Hope this helps.

From what I've been learning the best clear bra advice is to make sure you use a 3M product, most do. Also it should cost less than $800 including install. They are becoming very popular on 993's. The price varies some. Xpel and Invincashield are good products, they use the 3M stuff.
