I'm purchasing a C4s. I plan to enjoy this car as a daily driver. The problem is that my daily commute is only 2 miles from my home. (Barely enough time to warm up the engine. . . !) I've been advised to keep the rpm's under 4000 until the car is warmed up, but on the same note, I've read in this forum and elsewhere that I should get the revs up to at least 6000 each time I drive. Any pointers or advice for how I can drive my car daily yet keep her in top runningcondition/minimize engine wear? Thanks.

I have a 993 and my daily commute is about 5 blocks!! That is torture because I love to drive her. I wouldn't open it up until the temp. needle moves up over the first line myself. But, my car has 63,500 miles on it and runs like new. It's a 95. good luck and enjoy

Great to hear! Thanks for the input! I'll be picking her up in a month and a half- and absolutely just can't wait!! ;D
