changing clutch without motor down ?

hi,
i'd like to knw if it is possible to change the clutch (and posibly the flywheel) without putting down the engine and the hearbox ?
i want to remove only the gearbox.

I took my 964 C4 for such a tech and in hindsight it cost more as its quite tricky getting the trans back in. I had the flywheel and clutch (of course) replaced and some minor etcs for $6500 !
