Correct Mileage, can ODBII tell me more

Hi,

just wondering if there is a option in ODBII to see the
acurate mileage of a 996 tt. Does the 996tt just rack the milage in the board comupter under the rpm instrument
or are there any other systems in the car that track the mileage.

Hi,

If you go to your porsche dealer they can check the number of hours your engine has been on. So they divide the number of kilometers by the number of hours and you get the average speed. They consider in france that the average should be around 50 km/h. Of course in germany it might be much higher !!

But for the info they found out a Boxster with an average speed of 15 km/h, which means that the actual mileage was certainly not accurate.
